Mephistopheles provides model-assisted evidence retrieval and claim assessment. Results are probabilistic, incomplete, time-bound and dependent on third-party sources. They are not legal, medical, financial, safety or other professional advice.
Your responsibilities
You must have authority to submit content, protect credentials, review evidence before consequential use, respect source and third-party rights, and avoid unlawful, abusive or security-harming activity. Do not submit secrets or regulated data to the public service.
Acceptable use
You may not use the service to make solely automated high-impact decisions about people, evade safety boundaries, probe other users’ data, disrupt infrastructure, distribute malware, or misrepresent a qualified result as guaranteed truth.
Availability and changes
The service may change, throttle, fail, or become unavailable. Versioned API contracts and deprecation notices are used where practical. A service status does not guarantee upstream source or provider availability.
Data and feedback
Submitted content is processed to provide the service under the selected retention setting and disclosed data flow. You retain rights you hold in submitted content. Feedback may be used to improve the product without identifying confidential material.
Liability boundary
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the public service is provided without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness or uninterrupted operation. Applicable paid terms may state a different allocation of risk.
